Access to culture
and the stage
Thriving, interacting and growing together
We believe that culture is an opportunity for everyone as well as for the community. So we’re taking action to make it more accessible and to encourage participation by groups facing barriers to culture, to help nurture a new generation of artists. Since it was founded in 1987, the Orange Foundation has placed music and singing at the heart of its commitment to culture.
Our programs
Encouraging performance and access to music for all
We encourage musical performance by supporting festivals, seasons and tours throughout France. We also support projects that build bridges between classical music and singing and other artistic and musical disciplines.
Supporting young musical artists
We identify and support new generations of artists to share and develop their talent. We encourage young people’s first steps by supporting academies, competitions and artistic residences for young people.
Learning through music and culture
We support artistic and cultural projects enabling young people to learn differently and gain self-confidence.

# Supported project Finoreille
Set up by the Lille Opera, the Finoreille project allows 260 children aged 8-12, without prior selection, to benefit from weekly singing workshops. This extensive educational program ends in a series of concerts.
A review of the Orange Foundation's commitment

Linked to the idea of cultural democracy, we have harnessed digital technology to allow anyone to access artwork, courses (MOOC) and online conferences, and we are committed to encouraging discovery and dialogue between the public and artists, beyond borders.

Music
Since its creation, the Orange Foundation has been committed to singing by supporting young artists and helping to share music with others. We have helped over 140 musical groups launch their careers by championing young artists and introducing music to as many people as possible.
Literature
Between 2009 and 2024, we worked to discover literary talent through three awards: the Orange Book Prize, the Orange Book Prize in Africa and the Orange Comics Prize. Our platform lecteurs.com has helped bring emerging authors to a wider audience in France and the French-speaking world.
Museums
In partnership with museums through 2024, we pledged to spread culture by bringing art into homes, schools, and community centers through interactive visits, classes, online: Access on Hello Culture.
